    Sometimes the most eccentric
    of curiosa survive, as if they have
    a tenacious spirit of their own.
    Buried for a while, then unearthed,
    misplaced again, and on and on,
    they somehow cleave to time.
    Some seem to have purpose,
    some carry warning or reminder,
    others simply survive.
